Release date: 13.04.2016 Today, Shinsaw, a Bay Area-based electronic music collective founded by pianist/composer Mike Larson, makes its debut release, their debut EP, “Save Me For Last”, featuring cover versions of songs from the works of David Bowie, Miley Cyrus, Bjork, and others. The musical style is comprised of dark, atmospheric pianos and downtempo electronic beats and synths, creating a uniquely organic-sounding amalgamation of the best of classical music and electronica. At the release party, Larson will be joined by fellow composers and DJs Simon Popplewell (DJ Spooky), Alex Edelstein (Blancmange), and Tom Wopat. Following the release of “Save Me For Last”, Larson plans to release a studio album of his own. The Shinsaw Sound The first release from Shinsaw comes from Larson’s working arrangement with his pianist/composer/DJ partner-in-crime, David Gahr, entitled “Suffering,” which was released on December 6th, 2013.
